I Do Grave Care – Full Service Grave Care Company.

Mother’s Day Flowers

Mother’s Day is this weekend.

I would like to invite everyone who is interested in having floral decorations on their Mother’s gravesite to call early. Our appointment calendar is filling up and time slots are scarce. We only have a few available spaces available in our climate controlled delivery van.

We are also offering general plot maintenance (mowing, lite landscaping) to all the local cemeteries we currently service. Tombstone cleaning is also offered and will make your Mom’s gravesite look great.

Happy Mother’s Day.

Late Summer Grave Care – August 2012

Summer is quickly nearing its end.  Ahhh…doesn’t it seem like just yesterday that winter was ending and we were all so happy to have warm weather here?

Well, as quickly as rose, summer’s mercury will descend the thermometer’s glass tube as temperatures fall.  Even as this bead of sweat drips from my forehead, I know that cooler days are soon to be upon us.

Fall weather brings its own opportunities to prepare our landscape for the coming winter scene.  Cemetery gravesites are not immune from Autumn (and Winter) weather.  If you require grave care, we welcome your call to discuss gravesite needs.

We are currently providing late summer rejuvenation of landscape features.  We also provide summer tombstone cleaning, pre-winterization, and Autumn floral decorations.

Grave Care for Easter 2012

Are you looking for springtime cleanup, floral decorations, or special Easter decorations this year for your loved one’s grave site?

Though Easter is quickly approaching, we have availablility to provide gravesite services before Easter Day. As in years past, we are providing grave care services such as mowing and detailed trimming, basic after-winter repair, grave plot debris pickup (leaves and downed limbs), and tombstone cleaning. Of course gravesite floral decorations are always indemand during the Easter season and we have several great designs ready for you.

Easter is Sunday April 8 this year. Please call us as quickly as you can to get your name on our schedule.

Grave Care during 2012 Non-Winter

Though the calendar says December, the weather says….well, you know what it says if you have been outside this month.

Spring may already be here and it seems like our normal “mid-winter slowdown” was confined to one weekend last month when we actually received a few nights of winter like temperatures. Ah well, we’re not complaining at all. In fact, the sunshine and warm temperatures are allowing us to do more of what we like to do best; WORK IN CEMETERIES.

Yes, we just love this and want more of it.

So, if you have visited a loved one’s gravesite recently and found it lacking aesthetically, please let us know what we can do for you. We are happy to discuss your needs either on the phone, via email, or in person at the gravesite.

Summer Grave Site Mowing

Long Long Long.

The grass does grow long, doesn’t it. And the grass, this hot summer, is no exception.

While perpetual care cemeteries do a great job of cutting grass, many lesser cared for cemeteries are suffering from long grass growth this summer. We can help with that.

Gravesites deserve respect and reverance. Our blades are sharp and our mowers are fine tuned. We are hyper-vigilant to cut grass neatly without damaging headstones, footstones, decorations, landscaping ornaments, trees, and shrubbery.

If the grass is too long around the graves that you care about, we can help.

Grave Care in 2011

A new year, already? How did these 12 months pass so quickly?

Our schedule is mostly filled these days and we are reluctant to take on new clients unless we are sure we can give them the attention they deserve. Growth is good but controlled growth is better and we are faced with an aged old dilema concerning controlled growth. Do we continue to take on new clients and add employees to keep up with demand? Or do we slow our growth and focus on giving personal service to all of our clients?

Adding employees is tricky because we are then forced to become distracted with training and supervision.

I think the best way for us to handle additional demand is by honing our services to a fine tuned focus while keeping our eyes out for dedicated profession level employees that can take the ball and run with it when they join our team. Finding people who love cemeteries and caring for gravesites instead of people who are just looking for a job. That’s the key, right?

We love our customers. We don’t want your level of service to decline or suffer because of our success.

Father’s Day 2010

Father’s Day is June 20, 2010

Would you like to do something special for your father’s gravesite? We are running an early June special for Father’s Day with 10% off all plot maintenance and tombstone cleaning services.

We expect our schedule to fill fast. So, if you are interested in basic gravesite maintenance services please call us before June 10 to schedule an appointment.

Cemetery Mapping for 2009

2009 is going to be a busy year for us.

We are planning of focusing hard on the mapping and research side of our business. This is a bit of a redirection for us as we have spent a great deal of time devoted to plot maintenance and cleanup services. Still, we are excited about our new dirction and hope you will see the benefit of our efforts.

GPS has become an affordable technology. Handheld GPS receivers can be purchased for a few hundred dollars and high resolution units can be purchased for a couple thousand dollars. This level of affordability is allowing us the opportunity to pinpoint gravesite locations to within a foot or less.

If you are a cemetery currator, a church, a city counsel, or anyone else in need of detailed cemetery mapping, we want to speak with you about our expertise.

Christmas Cleanup

Christmas will be here before you know it.

The fall has been beautiful this year but as winter weather is closing in we are preparing for major cemetery work in several local cemeteries. Autumn leaf blowing, limb and debris removal, overseeding & minor landscape maintenance, and shrubbery trimming are all within our skill set.

Also, with Christmas on its way we will gladly discuss Christmas decorations and adornments for the gravesite.

Assure a beautiful gravesite this Christmas by calling us early for a free estimate.
